Statistics can be very informative, but they can also be misleading. "How to Lie with Statistics" is a charming, compact introduction to the powers and perils of statistics. This book was written by Darrell Huff in 1954, so the examples are out-dated, but the lessons are still appropriate and are especially valuable for students uninitiated to the ways in which graphs, charts, and other representations of data can be manipulated.
