Eco-DAS IX was held on 11-16 October, 2010, at the East-West Center immediately adjacent to the University of Hawai`i, Manoa campus. Thirty-eight invited participants, mentors and representatives of federal funding agencies met for six days to present and discuss state of the art research in the ecology of aquatic ecosystems, to strengthen existing collaborations and form new partnerships, and to discuss the most challenging issues in squatic ecology today.
